commentary

The giant spork came from a treatment for an animated short I never got around to doing. It featured a group of college-aged friends and their great dane as they travel the country solving mysteries. Unlike Scooby-Doo, Noname The Wonder Dog was really just a dog.

The gang arrived at the city that's the Birthplace of the Spork just in time for the unveiling of a statue of the world's largest spork. Spork Commandos from a neighboring town (Birthplace of the Inventor of the Spork) strike and steal the statue. Our gang heads over to the other town, attach the statue to their car and distract the Spork Commandos with Noname. There's a big chase at the end and the heroes return to the first town with the statue in tow. Or rather, what's left of the statue. During the drive, the rough surface of the road ground down the statue to a small lump of metal.

This storyline followed the main plot of the animated bit, except for the whole returning the spork bit, the change of commandoes to ninjas, removing the dog, and ... huh. I guess it really didn't follow the animated script. Never mind.

Fixed
So for the longest time, the website has been broken and it's always been at the back of my mind to fix it one day and lo! behold! the magic fix just took about twenty minutes to hunt down and correct. So, sorry about that.

Have fun flipping through the comic strip and marvelling at how rough my artwork was so very very long ago.
