XXNOY is female. Double X chromosones, no Y chromosone. This section is based off of (tssf...) strips that featured The Time Patrol. When the original (tssf...) strips were run, it was the Height of Political Correctness. One of those long late night discussions you have when you're in college with your friends centered on gender roles. Mary Beth Haggerty (who now works for Industrial Light and Magic), mentioned something about a fictional women-only company called XXNOY.

I used to look for her name in the closing credits of movies (she worked on Twister and a few others), but she's since moved to ILM's television commercial department. There was a really cool series of ads that featured a city made of money, banking symbols, and brokerage houses. That was all Mary Beth.
