commentary

This strip series didn't last as long as it should have. However, with this week, I've got more gaming in my strip than an entire year's worth of the second place vote getter in the Cartoonist's Choice Awards "Best Gaming Comic" category (MegaTokyo). With these few strips, plus the Ainsley storyline earlier this year, I should be at least nominated in the "Best Superhero" and "Best Gaming" categories.

Supermegatopia should win "Best Superhero", IMHO, but I want a nomination, dammit!

Superhero genre role playing games are a bit like this. If they're going to be any good, they're going to be insane in detail and mechanics. Think about it. You've got heroes like Batman, a normal guy with trinkets, and you've got Superman, a guy who's pretty much a demigod. Now you've got a game that's got to make not only the powers of both these characters available to play, attractive enough that someone would want to play Batman, but also the mechanics have to be there so Superman doesn't just plow through the bad buys while Batty is getting out of the Bat-vehicle.

Fixed
So for the longest time, the website has been broken and it's always been at the back of my mind to fix it one day and lo! behold! the magic fix just took about twenty minutes to hunt down and correct. So, sorry about that.

Have fun flipping through the comic strip and marvelling at how rough my artwork was so very very long ago.
