commentary

For some reason, the commentary for this strip was never uploaded.

The dialogue in the last panel, "Any questions?" "Yes, where are our legs?" comes directly from "The Dreaded Batter Pudding Hurler of Bexhill-on-Sea", one of my favourite episodes of the Goon Show. The Goon Show was a classic (many would say THE classic) British comedy series. It was a radio show in the '50s featuring Spike Milligan, Harry Secombe and Peter Sellers and if you don't know who any of those people are, your life is a colossal unknown tragedy. I can't even look at my own stupid cartoon without hearing those lines in the appropriate voices and cracking up all over again. Ah, in-jokes.

I put the line in there because I can't draw legs at all. I have to hide people behind furniture or have their lower bodies just fade out mysteriously. The alternative is to have them walking around on two mismatched, weirdly proportioned stalks. If I ever do a webcomic, it will have to be based in a culture where everybody wears floor-length robes.

Fixed
So for the longest time, the website has been broken and it's always been at the back of my mind to fix it one day and lo! behold! the magic fix just took about twenty minutes to hunt down and correct. So, sorry about that.

Have fun flipping through the comic strip and marvelling at how rough my artwork was so very very long ago.
