If the Buffy Freelance storyline came after the Sucrose storyline, Sue would definately play Anya. Although you've only really seen Sue these last few strips, her whole character is right there in those first three panels. "I don't understand." Probably the best line I'll ever be able to write for the character.

One thought for Sue's character would have been after the whole Dex/Sue relationship was straighted out, Moriarty would have been going out with Sue. Sort of an echo of Xander and Anya's relationship in Buffy, The Vampire Slayer.

But that was an early thought. The storyline is going in a whole other direction. A much better direction.

(And better than the Janet/Sue romantic angle I scrapped.)

Oh, if Sue is Anya, Roy is Riley. Just thought I'd throw that in here. You'll see.
