The idea for this strip came about after reading the Fiend-ish strip at Supermegatopia right here.

The letter V in Day 3 was inspired by the Very Secret Diaries, a comic send-up of the first Lord of the Rings movie done diary-style. It can be found online, but I'm too lazy to look it up right now.

Berk is the name of a pixie thief I played in a really awsome PBEM Planescape campaign a while back. In the Planescape setting, 'berk' is a common curseword used when calling someone an idiot (as in, "You stupid berk."). Berk wasn't from around Sigil and wondered how everyone knew his name. The head of Berk here is based off of Zortic (zortic.com); the body is based off of The Great Gazoo. "The Interdimensional Imp" whole bit is based off of Mr. Myztlpx -- or, as Roy is my Batman -- Bat-Mite.

The ferret is based off of Sluggy Freelance's Kiki. No URL here as everyone knows where sluggy.com is.

The Human Spider is wearing the cool black Spider-man suit that later became the idiotic Spidey-villain Venom. But Spidey's villains always did suck.

Moriarty's "Special Dinner" is microwavable Macaroni and Cheese (or for you Canadians, microwavable Kraft Dinner).
