More heroes from the Champions days -- Multiman (not pictured) was a guy who could make endless duplicates of himself. In the never-run Champions game, he was to be a villain. The Roman was an android hero.

Major Hawk was a character from a strip that was rejected from The Batallion. I submitted Major Hawk as a serious serial adventure strip, they said "no thanks", I went off and started drawing the first strips that turned into this comic strip you're reading right now. Major Hawk might have a role to play in future strips. Or at least, part of the Major's origin will. (Another aside -- He was named "Major" so he'd outrank all those heroes named "Captain" Whatever.)

The Last Chancers are a sort of Suicide Squad. More on them later.

The Grey Wraith there is an homage to a Silver Age panel, where the Spectre destroyed a fleet of German ships bound for the British shores in WWII. He just got really big and huge and colossal and... The German forced didn't stand a chance. Anyway, it's a really cool panel. I wish I remembered in which comic that was from -- I'd scan it in and show y'all.
