commentary

Drug use really seems to come into play when one reaches the college level. Your college student is away from home, there's the whole party atmosphere of the college lifestyle, and you're enjoying new experiences -- why not try some recreational drugs? Although I had opportunites to try, well pretty much anything, and that it seemed that most everyone I knew in college tried something illicit at least once, I never partaked in any drug more potent than alcohol or caffeine.

I had a good friend named Marla. (I feel very embarrassed about not being able to remember her last name.) When she was at the University of Texas, she was very much the party girl. Anything she wanted to do, she'd be able to get. Free, because the guys had drugs and Marla was relatively hot.

She told me some interesting drug stories. One time we were talking about the time she and her friends got some dog stoned (and the lasting neurologic damage to the canine) and she asked me if I've done a lot of marijuana. Of course I haven't, and she said probably the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me. I didn't need to do drugs, she said. People use recreational drugs to see the world in an altered way, to take a step beyond what everyone else sees. I was already there.

I took that a compliment.

I only bring this up because in this strip, Moriarty has the munchies.

Fixed
So for the longest time, the website has been broken and it's always been at the back of my mind to fix it one day and lo! behold! the magic fix just took about twenty minutes to hunt down and correct. So, sorry about that.

Have fun flipping through the comic strip and marvelling at how rough my artwork was so very very long ago.
